The "Nocturne" service, connecting Tokyo Shinagawa and Hirosaki

Operators: The Keihin Kyuko Bus and Konan Bus companies

This service connects between Yokohama and Tokyo (Shinagawa Bus Terminal) and Hirosaki, Aomori Prefecture. This popular and comfortable overnight service began in 1986, because the rapid Shinkansens do not cover the area. Since then 4 to 5 buses have been in continuous operation to satisfy customers needs.

This service also provides a female exclusive bus and super (executive) seats are available on the Konan bus service only. These seats are equipped in the rear with a small TV, seat heaters and a private room curtain. However, a surcharge of ¥3870 exists for using super seats.

The usual one-way fare between Tokyo and Hirosaki is ¥9900.
