Konan Bus

The "Nocturne" between Hirosaki and Tokyo Shinagawa, Yokohama

The special "Nocturne" design was commonly used with their co-operator the Keihin Electric Express Railway company (now: Keihin Kyuko Bus).

Miyagi Kotsu

The "Polar Star" between Sendai and Narita Airport

This vehicle was specially designed to represent a star, an airplane and Tokyo Disney Land. However, it was repainted with the common design.

The "Forest" between Sendai and Kyoto, Osaka

The special "Forest" design was commonly used with their co-operator the Kinki Nippon Railway company (now: Kintetsu Bus)

Shin Joban Kotsu

The "Seagull" between Iwaki and Kyoto, Osaka

This vehicle was taken on by the Kintetsu Bus company at the beginning of the route operation, but it has been scrapped.

JR Bus Kanto

Vehicles for the "Dream" services

These vehicles were used on the "Dream" services.

The "Seishun Mega Dream" between Tokyo Station and Osaka Station

The "Seishun Mega Dream" route, between Tokyo Station and Osaka Station was jointly operated by the JR Bus Kanto (see the photo) and the Nishinihon JR Bus companies. An 84 seats Neoplan Megaliner was used on this route. However, the service was discontinued in March 2009 following a fire to the vehicle.

Keio Electric Railway, *Keio Bus

Note: Keio Bus was established by Keio Electric Railway in October 2002.

The "Hakata" between Tokyo Shinjuku and Fukuoka

These vehicles were used at the beginning and was equipped with 23 passenger seats and a salon room in the rear.

Keihin Electric Express Railway, *Keihin Kyuko Bus

This company also used different designs on their coaches for each route, but after 1992, the used the same design, on all their routes. Note: Keihin Kyuko Bus was established by Keihin Electric Express Railway in October 2003.

The "La Mer" between Yokohama and Nagoya

These vehicles were used at the beginning of the route operations.

Kanto Railway

The "Yokappe Kansai" between Mito, Tsukuba and Kyoto, Osaka

This vehicle was taken on by the Kintetsu Bus company at the beginning of the route operation, but it has been scrapped.

Kanto Jidosha

The "Tochinoki" between Utsunomiya, Tochigi and Kyoto, Osaka

This vehicle was taken on by the Kintetsu Bus company at the beginning of the route operation, but it has been scrapped.

JR Tokai Bus

The "La Mer" between Nagoya and Yokohama

The special "La Mer" design was commonly used with their co-operator the Keihin Electric Express Railway company (now: Keihin Kyuko Bus).

Yamanashi Kotsu

The "Crystal Liner" between Kofu and Kyoto, Osaka

This vehicle was taken on by the Kintetsu Bus company at the beginning of the route operation, but it has been scrapped.

Nishinihon (West) JR Bus

Double-decker bus for the "Dream" services

These buses were specially designed for the "Dream" services. However, they were repainted with the latest design.

The "Seishun Mega Dream" between Osaka Station and Tokyo Station

The "Seishun Mega Dream" route, between Osaka Station and Tokyo Station was jointly operated by the JR Bus Kanto and the Nishinihon JR Bus companies (see the photo). Hankyu Bus

The "Moon Light" between Osaka and Fukuoka

These vehicles were used at the beginning of the route operation.

Kinki Nippon Railway, *Kintetsu Bus

Note: Kintetsu Bus was established by Kinki Nippon Railway in October 1999.

The "Twinkle" between Osaka and Tokyo Shinjuku

This "Twinkle" design represents skyscrapers and the night sky of Shinjuku.

The "Tropical" between Osaka and Kagoshima

The nickname "Tropical" was written in seven different colors.

The "Blue Light" between Osaka and Yokohama

This vehicle was specially designed for this route to celebrate the 10th anniversary of the route operation. Designs were invited from the public and the best one was used on the bus. However, it was repainted with the latest design.

The first common design between 1989 and 1996

These vehicles were used as pinch hitters for overnight routes. And some of them were taken on by co-operators, the Kanto Jidosha company (the Utsunomiya route), Yamanashi Kotsu (the Kofu route), Kanto Railway (the Mito route), Shin Joban Kotsu (the Iwaki route), Chikuma Bus (the Karuizawa route), and Kochi Seinan Kotsu (the Sukumo route), when they started operating these routes. Now, only one vehicle of the Kochi Seinan Kotsu remains.

The second Parque España common design after 1996~

This company also used different designs on their coaches for each route, but after 1996, the used the same the Parque España, or Shima Spain Village design, on all their routes.

Nankai Electric Railway, *Nankai Bus

Note: Nankai Bus was established by Nankai Electric Railway in October 2001.

The "Southern Cross" bus service between Osaka and Toyama

These vehicles were used on the Toyama service at the beginning of the route operation. Afterwards the route was withdrawn, then they were used as a pinch hitter for the Tokushima service.

Ryobi Bus, *The Ryobi Holdings

*Note: The Ryobi Holdings company was established by Ryobi Bus in April 2007.

The "Tivoli" between Kurashiki, Okayama and Nagoya

These vehicles were used at the beginning of the route operation and symbolized the *Tivoli Theme Park in Kurashiki, Okayama Prefecture. *Note: The Tivoil Theme Park was closed in December 2008.

Hinomaru Jidosha and Nihon Kotsu

The "Camel" between Tottori, Yonago and Tokyo Shinagawa

The special "Camel" design was commonly used with their co-operator the Keihin Electric Express Railway company (now: Keihin Kyuko Bus).
